Tara Sharma who makes her comeback to films after marriage also seemed eager about her impending film

The ongoing OSIAN film festival in Delhi is the latest haunt of the Bollywood brigade. We spotted Raima Sen, Nagesh Kukunoor, Abbas Tyrewala and Tara Sharma at the event enjoying different film screenings. Of course, that wasn’t the only reason that these luminaries were present at OSIANs. Promoting their own film in the fashion capital, they didn’t mind playing audience to the other films being showcased.

Raima Sen who has proved herself in a very short span was excitedly talking about her forthcoming films. “I have done a small film directed by Ruchi Narayan in Mumbai Cutting. It’s about a girl who is not from. The story narrates how she comes here and gets carried away by the Mumbai life. Then I have the Japanese Wife directed by Aparna Sen. It is a very improbable sweet love story.”

Famous for making films on different subjects, Nagesh Kukunoor is slated to make a big budget film soon. He is already working with the current action star, Akshay Kumar in a film titled, 8 by 10. Surprisingly, this filmmaker doesn’t want to talk about his forthcoming project. An irate Nagesh says, “I don’t want to talk about them. We are here to talk about OSIAN. I will have plenty of time to talk about my films and I am going to get bored blue in the face talking about them then.”

Abbas Tyrewala, who shot to fame with his directorial debut, Jaane Tu… Ya Jaane Na, also spoke about his film. He said, “Everybody was new in this project. The film was as new to me as it was to Imran Khan.” Tara Sharma who makes her comeback to films after marriage also seemed eager about her impending film. She said, “One of my films is Mumbai Cutting. It is going to be screened here and will be the closing film. However, let me tell you, I have a very small role in the film as it is made of eleven short films directed by 11renowned directors.”

There is so much I have learnt from him-Jiah Khan

While perfectionism is almost like Aamir Khan’s middle name, there is someone in the industry who doesn’t think he is all that perfect. Newbie Jiah Khan doesn’t find her Ghajini co-star a perfectionist. The bold and sexy newcomer obviously has some reason to counter this established fact about the multi-faceted actor. According to her, Aamir is not a perfectionist. But that doesn’t make her any less of a fan.

She gushes, “Whatever he says is very positive and much needed. There is so much I have learnt from him.” She added, “I will just say that Aamir is amazing. He is a gem to work with.” Perhaps, after working with a legend like Amitabh Bachchan in her first film, it will take a lot for Jiah to actually get impressed.

Bachchan was playing a lawyer after MAHAAN where he had enacted a triple role

Yet again, it seems that Amitabh Bachchan may finally have his backlog film ZAMAANAT hit the screens. In the last 4 years, the film which stars Bachchan as the lead protagonist (he plays a blind lawyer fighting Arshad Warsi’s case in the court), came close to release at least 4 times. However, time and again it got stalled.

Now just as one thought that the film had been relegated to the cans for good, the latest news which has arrived is that this film, which is directed by veteran filmmaker S Ramanathan, would eventually hit the screens in the month of September.

The film’s shooting had incidentally kick started way back in the 1996 when Arshad Warsi had just made his debut with Big B’s ABCL production TERE MERE SAPNE. At hat time ZAMAANAT had created a casting coup of sorts since it featured then-reigning queen Karisma Kapoor opposite a newcomer Arshad Warsi. Moreover with Bachchan heading the star cast in this action thriller, ZAMAANAT seemed like a winner in the making.

In addition, it was only the second time ever that Bachchan was playing a lawyer after MAHAAN where he had enacted a triple role. However, even though most of the film’s shooting had been completed before the start of the 21st century, numerous production hassles resulted in ZAMAANAT being delayed with every passing year.

Eventually sometime in 2006, heat started picking up around the film finally making it to the theaters. Promotion too caught full swing while the release date was announced as well. However, unfortunate as the case was with ZAMAANAT ever since it’s shooting had begun, there were last minute hassles which resulted in the film being stuck for the umpteenth time.

Now with September 2008 looking like a possible time period for the film’s arrival, one waits to see if ZAMAANAT indeed keeps it’s word this time around

Sagarika, who took her own good time to work on her steps

It’s been a year since we heard much about Sagarika Ghatge, and now the light eyed gal has realized that its time to face the camera again and has opted for Deepak Tijori’s ’Fox’ project. Sagarika is paired opposite the handsome Arjun Rampal. Our cameras captured the movie stars on location at Madh Island in Mumbai.

Sagarika was swaying on the "Sexy Kudiye" track along with co-star Arjun Rampal and Udita Goswami; the item track has been crooned by Mika.

Sagarika had a tough time picking the steps, but choreographer Rajiv was quite patient with Sagarika, who took her own good time to work on her steps; her co-stars Arjun and Udita simply enjoyed a break by the water.

Though Farhan Akhtar’s acting debut in Rock On is most talked about, it is Arjun Rampal who is the hottest element in the film. Of the entire star cast comprising of Luke Kenny, Farhan, Purab Kohli and Arjun, nobody can beat Rampal when it comes to being a true rock star. Of course, the model-turned-actor is just too modest to comment on his killer looks. He smiles, “That’s only on screen. I am not a rock star off-screen.”

Appreciated for his portrayal of the negative role in Om Shanti Om, it was the second time in his seven year long career that he made an impact on the audiences. So what are his hopes for Rock On? He says, “Every film’s success is important. We make films to make them run. Rock On is a different movie and it should work.” Finally, ask him what keeps him rocking on in life, and he smiles, “Life itself keeps me rocking. I enjoy life. I live it fully and wholeheartedly.” Well, let’s hope it rubs on to his film as well

Sarika was so shocked to learn about the budding relation between Shruti and Gouthami

Kamal Haasan’s alleged affair with South actress Gouthami was one of the key reasons which finally led to the divorce between Kamal and his ex-Sarika. The couple shared joint custody of their daughters Shruti and Akshara Hasan, but the gals are known to spend more time with dad Kamal in Chennai as Sarika has been trying to revive her acting career in Mumbai.

Kamal Haasan and Gouthami have been living together, and based on insiders, Kamal has been quite caring towards Gouthami, who is suffering from cancer.

Shruti Haasan apparently also shares a great rapport with Gouthami; in fact, she was seen enjoying the Rolling Stones magazine launch with Gouthami and Kamal in Mumbai earlier this year. Gouthami also accompanies Shruti for her musical concerts and has been traveling with her for shoots. Based on sources close to the family, Shruti considers Gouthami to be her mother-figure.

Sarika was so shocked to learn about the budding relation between Shruti and Gouthami that she decided to severe her ties with Shruti. Shruti tried to clear the air with her mom, but all in vain, so now Miss Hasan has decided to solely focus on her career and let the time take its course, and she hopes that one day things are pleasant between them.

Katrina Kaif has experimented with her looks and attire in SINGH IS KINNG

Katrina kaif from skirt to Saree. While Bipasha Basu is busy being her seductive best in recently launched promos of BACHNA AE HASEENO, Katrina Kaif continues to play her sweet-n-innocent part well. For her upcoming release SINGH IS KINNG, she has jumped out of a short skirt into a nine-yard saree with effortless ease.

The best part about this transition is that while she gets her Barbie doll act quite well when seen in a skirt, her persona while being seen in a saree is quite a revelation in itself. Neither does she look indecent in her short dresses as she jumps around with Akshay Kumar in the number ‘Jee Karda’, nor does she look out of place as she romances with him in a serene ‘Teri Ore’.

Enjoying the best of both worlds, Katrina Kaif has experimented with her looks and attire in SINGH IS KINNG. Thankfully the experiment has paid off as she is enjoying compliments galore from all quarters for her different looks in the film.

She is not keeping this only to herself. After coming out with a yoga DVD, she is all set to give yoga lessons online to all those who would want to be at peace with themselves like herself.

“What yoga does to you is, when you’re doing pranayam, it improves your breathing pattern. A wrong way of breathing is the core of all your problems. If you don’t breathe right then you can’t feel right, you can’t think right. So if you breathe right then things will fall in place,” is what Shilpa has to say about the effects of yoga.

When asked about her view on the recent size-zero fad, this is what Shilpa had to say, “ the concept of size zero is for flat-chested people, size zero hone ki liye you can’t be slightly heavier on your top, you have to be petite, basically a carrom board ”

Rahul also denies having approached Sushmita Sen for the female lead in the film

Rahul Bose is all geared to wield the megaphone once again. Everybody Says I’m Fine marked the actor’s debut as a director. Bose’s second directorial venture is based on Mohsin Hamid’s Moth Smoke. Rahul has already bought the rights to convert the book into a film.

Rahul Bose plans to hit the floor with Moth Smoke in the beginning of next year. Rahul clears the air that bogged down with multiple film commitments he was compelled to push his directorial project to next year. “That’s not true,” the actor says. “The story of Moth Smoke requires me to shoot in Delhi. I wanted to start my film by this year end. But I realized that Delhi is usually very foggy during November-December and thus had to push my plans. I will now start shooting only in the beginning of next year.”

The story of Moth Smoke requires Rahul to shoot extensively in Lahore too. The actor says that he will try his best to acquire required permission to shoot in our neighboring country. “Shooting across the border is something I am looking forward to! But if I don’t get permission then I will have to start looking for other options,” Rahul says.

Rahul chooses to be tightlipped about the lead too. Had he approached anybody or was he going to play the central character himself?

“I am keeping my options open for that too! It is too early to say anything though I did make a brief appearance in Everybody Says I’m Fine.”

When it comes to dropping your clothes (in public), Sheryln Chopra tops the charts. To describe her is really difficult. All we can say is that ‘She’s one of her kind only’. She’s been in the news for all sorts of reasons. Sometime back she even called the press and made it news worldwide that some one was uploading her pictures (almost nude) in her website. We wonder does being nude or even affect her.

She was seen in many events recently (needless to say; in skimpy clothes) and how can we forget her famous PETA campaign. We were actually wondering if it was a PETA campaign or an erotic scene of a B-grade movie.

She even commented on Koena Mitra that the latter has a messed up nose. We earlier mentioned that ‘She’s one of her kind’. We will prove it in 3 different cases. They go like this…

She boasts a lot about her sexy and killer eyes, so we asked her from where did she inherit those “mum or dad” and much to anyone’s surprise she replied, “I inherit these from my mom’s boyfriend.”
